Get an early start to 2025 with two Zoo Year’s Eve celebrations planned for Tuesday, December 31. A daytime celebration will be held at your Birmingham Zoo from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., with a special zoo-related drop at 2:00 p.m. featuring red pandas. Fun activities related to the drop and New Year’s Eve will be available from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the main plaza.
 
When the sun goes down, a second Zoo Year’s Eve celebration will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Put on your PJs and come help countdown the new year with a special NYE drop at 6:00 p.m. Enjoy activities from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Stroll among the 150+ animal lanterns at Glow Wild and watch the acrobatic show. More details coming soon. 

These Zoo Year’s Eve celebrations will have no additional costs other than zoo admission or the price to attend Glow Wild. The Red Diamond Express train and the new Virtual Reality experience should be available during both celebrations for an additional fee
