Late Summer Meltdown Trail Run will take place August 31st, 2019 at Chewacla State Park in Auburn, Alabama. Three different course distance will highlight the beautiful, dynamic upper trails of Chewacla State Park to include Tiger Woods, High Gravity, and Rock Bottom. You also have the opportunity to enjoy the various other amenities had to offer such as Chewacla Lake, playgrounds, campgrounds, RV Parks, and Chewacla’s stunning waterfall.
The Late Summer Meltdown Trail Run features the best of Chewacla State Park’s upper trails with a good mix of flowy sections, a little climbing, and some fast descents. All three distances will follow sections of High Gravity, Tiger Woods, and Rock Bottom. The 10 and 20K routes will travel through the entirety of Rock Bottom and Tiger Woods finishing with a quick jaunt back to the top of Chewacla via High Gravity, while the 5K will travel down Fox Trail crossing over to Tiger Woods and heading back to the finish by High Gravity. Be sure to check out the views of the rock quarry from the top of High Gravity, the creek on Tiger Woods and Lake Chewacla from Rock Bottom.
