Learning about history can be as simple and engaging as sharing a story. Join us as we host author B.J. Hollars and Freedom Rider Dr. Ernest "Rip" Patton, Jr. as they recount personal stories of Freedom Riders and how participating in this peaceful protest in 1961 changed lives forever. Dr. Patton will detail his time as a Freedom Rider and a member of the Nashville Student Movement, while Mr. Hollars will share excerpts from his time traveling with and interviewing other Freedom Riders all over the country. Copies of Mr. Hollars' book will be on hand for purchase and signing. Event is included with regular museum admission.
