Spring Farm Day at Burritt on the Mountain

Experience springtime on the farm as you visit our barnyard animals, experience historic skills, and learn about life on the farm during the 1800’s. Visitors will be fascinated by the sheep-shearing and blacksmith demonstrations. Learn how to card and wash wool, observe wool being spun into yarn, create an animal mask, play with old-fashioned toys and view an assortment of antique farm equipment. You will leave with a new appreciation for modern conveniences after trying historic tasks such as rug beating, butter churning, and mattress stuffing!   Listen to musicians throughout the park play traditional instruments and music enjoyed during our Alabama beginnings.
