Rikard’s Mill Historical Park will once again be the setting for Monroe County Museum’s annual Pioneer Days on Thursday, Nov. 4th & Friday, Nov. 5th from 9:00 am – 12:00 noon. Rikard’s Mill will be transformed into a pioneer village as history is brought to life by rural heritage demonstrators, a perfect outing for school field trips. Food vendors will be on site selling BBQ pork, hamburgers, hotdogs & sausage dogs with chips & drinks.     Restored, working water-powered gristmill. Picnic area, barbecue facilities. Miller tools, area history. Walking trail, gristmill, covered bridge, blacksmith shop, barn exhibit, cane syrup mill, cabin, carriage house.

    Monroe County State Public Fishing Lake

    94-acre lake located three mi. west of AL Hwy. 265. Piney Woods Bird Watchers Tour. Six camp sites for self-contained campers; no water or electric. No tents allowed.
