National Public Lands Day is a day set aside where millions of volunteers throughout the nation come together to improve and celebrate the use of public lands. Volunteers, businesses, school groups and organizations are invited to team up with Forest Service employees in a one-day effort to keep Alabama’s national forests clean and beautiful. The effort promotes protection of our natural environment and teaches forest visitor responsibility. http://www.fs.usda.gov/goto/alabama/districts/talladegaRD
