Experience the Moundville Lithic Arts Festival on March 6–7, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Moundville Archaeological Park, located at 634 Mound State Parkway in Moundville, Alabama. This two-day traditional arts festival highlights the ancient practice of flintknapping and celebrates the hunting, fishing, and lifeways of Southeastern Indigenous peoples. Visitors can watch live stone tool-making demonstrations, explore Native arts and tools, enjoy Native food vendors, participate in a silent auction, and play the traditional game of chunkey. Educators and nonprofit organizations will offer interactive, hands-on learning experiences for all ages. Admission is free with paid park entry, and the event takes place rain or shine.
