The City of Monroeville's annual Mardi Gras celebration gets under way with the King and Queen Coronation on January 11 at 9 a.m. at the Mardi Gras Tree in Lyle Salter Park, followed by the Mardi Gras Tree Lighting Ceremony on January 13 at 6 p.m. Saturday, February 22nd will be filled with activities on the downtown square, including the Cajun Takeover & Market, Second Line Procession parade, moon pie eating contest, the Whiz@Honk#andSputter Antique & Classic Car and Truck Parade, the "Under the Sea" Grand Parade and much more..  Visit website for the event schedule.
