Come join us for a night of snacks and drinks while you explore what it means to see ordinary things created in breathtaking paintings. Jim paints what he's learned to see, mostly from a life in north Alabama and southern Tennessee. Where he has lived, wandered, and observed. He enjoys the ordinary, celebrates the usual, while expressing the unusual within it. These scenes disappear from view at an astonishing rate and he is determined to draw them into an extended existence, capturing the momentary, quotidian “something” before it is gone.
