Hike to Alabama’s Biggest tree

Hike to Alabama’s Biggest tree

Feb 23rd 20208am - 5pm

We’ll meet at the Birmingham library Pratt city branch. Or, if you prefer, I can pick you up from a location you choose. We’ll drive 2 hours to the Sipsey Wilderness, specifically the Thompson Creek Trailhead. We’ll hike approximately 2 miles to Alabama’s biggest tree. This is a beautiful, and challenging hike. No climbing or rappelling is required, but this hike is not for beginners. Bring your lunch and we’ll have a picnic at the tree and then hike back out, and drive back to Birmingham. Availability limited to the first 5 registered.
