From Chicken on a Stick to the King's Supper...: Carnival and Cuisine is the first exhibit to explore the foodways of Mardi Gras. Featuring both the street side and more formal traditions informing the collective culinary experience of Carnival, this exhibit is multi-sensory in nature. A mini-food truck like which line the streets during Mardi Gras will share space with recreations of over-the-top table settings from dazzling seated dinners of the distant and recent past. Partnerships with local dining establishments will literally and figuratively fill the exhibit out and leave a great taste in your mouth.
