Boom Days Heritage Celebration
Boom Days began in 2006 and has been transforming downtown Fort Payne into a celebration of art, music, history for the past 20 years. Held each year on the third Friday and Saturday of September, Boom Days highlights the traditions that make our community unique. Four blocks of downtown are closed to traffic, allowing visitors to explore art shows, traditional crafts, live music, historical exhibits, sidewalk sales, food, and activities for the whole family. Come stroll through downtown, listen to the music, admire the work of talented artists and craftsmen, learn a little history, and experience the spirit of the people who helped make Fort Payne what it is today.
