Spanish Fort

Free, day long family-friendly event with live raptor demos, touch tanks, Alabama snakes show, booths, exhibits, vendors, various crafts, giveaways, and lots of hands-on activities and fun for all ages.  Food trucks will be onsite.   The Expo takes place at 5 Rivers Delta Resource Center and is held annually on the Saturday of the first FULL weekend in October as part of the Alabama Coastal BirdFest.    There will be three FREE 1-hour boat tours! Boat tours depart from 5 Rivers, cruise around the bend to Meaher State Park, then back to 5 Rivers. Pontoon boat tours will be led by Mason Currier, a junior birder, who leads birding tours for young birders in Coastal Alabama. Boat tours will be first come first served and run at 9am, 10am, and 12:30pm. Raptor shows by the Environmental Studies Center will be at 10:00am and 12:00pm under the outdoor pavilion.

    Spirit Park

    Meaher State Park

    This 1,327-acre park is situated in the wetlands of Mobile Bay and is a day-use picnicking and scenic park with modern camping hook-ups and bathhouse facilities for overnight visitors.

    Five Rivers: Alabama's Delta Resource Center
