Guest curator Elizabeth S. Hawley considers the history of American art through the collection at Auburn University. Pairing paintings from the museum’s iconic Advancing American Art Collection with other contemporary collection objects, this exhibition encourages visitors to ask what being and belonging in American art might mean in the past, the present and the future.

From I-85 take Exit 51 and turn north onto College Street. Continue north on College Street for 2.56 miles. Turn right into the museum entrance and follow the circular drive around to the parking lot. A drop-off point is available at the museum entrance. The museum is handicap accessible.
