The Ballyhoo Festival is a fine arts event, which also features cultural exchange. Visitors can expect to browse the original art work of artists from several states. On the Wind Creek Stage, the Poarch Creek Indians will perform original tribal dance in ceremonial regalia on March 7. On March 8, the cultural exchange will be early Americana music with the Florabama/Frank Brown Songwriters Assn presenting a Fiddle/Banjo competition, also on the Wind Creek Stage. In addition there will be on site art demonstrations, the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo will feature exotic animals, children's hands-on art activities, local seafood and other food options.     Traveling South on Hwy. 59, when it dead ends, turn left onto Perdido Beach Blvd. Continue to Gulf State Park. The Ballyhoo Festival will be on the left across from the Gulf of Mexico and the Gulf State Park condos.
