Dr. Deborah Willis, Department Chair of Photography & Imaging at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and Curator of MMofA special exhibition, Posing Beauty in African American Culture, joins us to talk about concepts explored in the critically-acclaimed exhibition now on view. Posing Beauty is a visual exploration of historical and cultural representations of African American beauty in popular culture from the late 19th century to the present. Dr. Willis will share her expertise and insights, followed by a wine and cheese reception.
