Alabama Gulf Coast Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday)

Alabama Gulf Coast Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday)

Feb 25th 202010AM-5PM

Starting at the bottom of the Intracoastal Bridge, the City of Gulf Shores will celebrate the 42nd Anniversary of its Mardi Gras Parade on Tuesday, February 25 at 10am. The Orange Beach parade begins at the traffic light east of Phoenix West and ends at Hwy 161. The Orange Beach Parade started way back when as a loose confederation of groups, large and small, that wanted to parade by the beach. Today just about anybody, even groups from outside of Orange Beach contribute to the parade, including groups from Foley to Perdido Key. Usually there are about 55 units in the Fat Tuesday afternoon parade, and approx. 30,000 people gather along the two-mile stretch of Perdido Beach Boulevard to stand in the rain of throws.
