Africatown's third annual "Spirit of Our Ancestors Festival" will be held virtually via Zoom starting at noon on February 13, 2021. The 2021 theme, "Women of Worth" celebrates Sally 'Redoshi' Smith and Matilda McCrear, both Clotilda Africans who were identified through research by featured speaker Hannah Durkin, and all the other women -- known and unknown-- who were brought to Mobile on the Clotilda slave ship in 1860.
