Windmill Drive Guest House

Our guest house has a traditional country cottage exterior with steep roof, picket fence, entrance arbor and window boxes with blooming flowers in season. There are three bedrooms and two baths plus a pull out double sofa bed in the sunroom, accomodating six or even eight. Adequate private parking is adjacent. There is a private patio with a woodland view for outside sitting and wildlife viewing. A large and fully equipped kitchen is at the front of the house, directly off the entrance foyer. The kitchen and adjoining dining area communicate directly with the greatroom and foyer to create an open and flowing area made more dramatic by a vaulted ceiling in these areas. There is a good sound system for music that accepts and charges an ipod and also plays mp3 and cd discs. A dvd player and a small library of movies and musicals is available for viewing. The hilltop location provides broadcast tv with a simple antenna. We are located on Windmill Drive, 1/4 mile off State Highway 119 within the City of Montevallo about 5 miles off I65. Birmingham is about 30 miles north via I65 About 60 miles south on I65 is the state capitol, Montgomery The City of Montevallo, located almost exactly in the center of the state, is home to the University of Montevallo, American Village, and Alabama National Cemetery.
