Guided Sustainable Tours

Stay at a National Geographic Unique Lodges of the World property and book guided sustainable tourism experiences, Gulf Shores, Alabama, USA

The Eagle Cottages at Gulf State Park are one of only eight properties in the United States to be awarded membership in the prestigious National Geographic Unique Lodges of the World collection. This honor given in part because the cottages are location in a state park with nine different ecological systems and the sustainable tourism programs offered.

Guests at the cottages can book authentic sustainable tourism experiences including trail hikes, bicycle tours and kayak trips with state park naturalists, as well as outings to explore the Mobile-Tensaw Delta by boat or kayak, make local glass and clay art, or to tour the Dora Franklin Finely African American Heritage Trail in nearby Mobile.

You will get to meet the local experts affiliated with these experiences and can support them directly through participating in their offerings, purchasing from them directly, and determining how they can further support them in the future.
