Selma Interpretive Center (NPS)---Temporarily closed for construction
Temporarily closed for construction---The Selma Interpretive Center is temporarily closed during major construction to expand and up-date the visitor experience. The Selma Interpretive Center is one of three centers along the Selma to Montgomery National Historic Trail which commemorates, interprets, and preserves the important stories of the Selma voting rights movement and the routes of the Selma to Montgomery voting rights marches of 1965. The other two National Park Service interpretive centers, The Lowndes County and Montgomery Interpretive Centers, remain open.
The Selma Interpretive Center serves as a welcome center for the Selma to Montgomery National Historic Trail and is located at the foot of the Edmund Pettus Bridge. Visitors can explore exhibits and a bookstore dedicated to telling the story of the movement.
