Richard Martin Rails to Trail in Limestone County is a 10.2-mile trail for hikers, walkers, runners, and horseback riders. Built on an abandoned rail corridor, it winds through wetlands, the Civil War site Battle of Sulphur Creek Trestle and downtown Elkmont. Entrances to the trail are at Piney Chapel Road just north of Athens and Veto, Alabama at the Tennessee state line.
