Prattville's Way Off Broadway Theatre

Prattville’s Way Off Broadway Theatre was formed in the fall of 2002 as a part of the Prattville Creative and Performing Arts Council, which was also formed at this time. Our sponsor for this was the City of Prattville, and Prattville’s Way Off Broadway Theatre operates under the umbrella of the City. Our first production, “An Evening of Culture”, was staged in March 2003 under the direction of Lynne Stinchcomb Pollingue, Prattville resident, member of The American Association of Community Theater and The Southeast Theater Conference, former president of the Montgomery Little Theatre and accomplished actress. Funds and supplies were donated by area businesses and the City of Prattville. “An Evening of Culture,” performed in a local church auditorium, was a success. Our initial goal was to have our own theatre to stage our shows within five years. Thanks to the sponsorship of the City of Prattville, we met that goal in 2004, when we opened "How the Other Half Loves" in our current theatre. To date, Prattville’s Way Off Broadway Theatre has staged sixteen productions, including two musicals and three Young at Art productions.
