Park at Manderson Landing
The Tuscaloosa Riverwalk is a scenic paved trail that stretches along the southern bank of the Black Warrior River near downtown Tuscaloosa. Spanning approximately 4.5 miles from Capitol Park to Manderson Landing, the Riverwalk offers a peaceful setting for walking, jogging, and biking with a clearly marked two-way path for pedestrians and cyclists. The trail features shaded areas, benches, gazebos, and hammock-friendly trees where visitors can relax and enjoy views of the river. Several park areas along the route are dog-friendly and provide spaces for picnicking and recreation. Families can enjoy a playground near the Tuscaloosa Public Library and a splash pad at the Bama Bell dock. The Riverwalk also features observation areas, boat ramps, and launch points used by the University of Alabama rowing team. Visitors will also find the Bicentennial Sculpture at Manderson Landing, featuring the Roman goddess Minerva, symbolizing wisdom and the shared connection between the university and the Tuscaloosa community.
