Two hours from Birmingham, Two hours from Atlanta, 1 hour from Newnan, Georgia, 45 minutes from Carrollton, and LaGrange, Georgia.

The biggest area attraction with 367 miles of shoreline and 7 square miles of natural beauty is Lake Wedowee, Harris Lake. One of Alabama Power's cleanest lakes, a great place to enjoy boating with friends and family or catch a variety of bass, and anglers will say the lake is one of the best fishing spots in the state.
And speaking of fishing, within a 20-30 minute drive is several tributaries of the Tallapoosa River where season anglers catch the Red Eye Bass. Just North of our motel is Cheaha Mountain and the Pinhoti Trail. Day hikes abound for all levels of outdoor activity. Pack a picnic and enjoy time at Flat Creek Park or watch the sunset from your boat. Grab your binoculars and take that long walk in the woods.
