Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center

As part of the City of Auburn Parks and Recreation Department, the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center (JDCAC) is committed to enriching the cultural life of Auburn citizens by providing a broad range of classes for children and adults. The facility offers a performance room, two art studios, a conference room, a children’s gallery and an art gallery. Adult and children’s theatre productions, presented by the Auburn Area Community Theatre, are held throughout the year as well as summer theatre camps for K-12 students. The gallery, coordinated by the Auburn Arts Association (AAA), features monthly exhibits, providing exhibition opportunities for local and regional artists. In addition, the AAA and JDCAC host summer art camps for children and community events held throughout the year. Community events include: Auburn CityFest in April, SummerNight Downtown Art Walk in June, Polar Express Holiday Celebration and Holiday Art Sale in December.
