Hatchet Creek Canoe/Kayak Trail

Hatchet Creek is one of Coosa County's many natural resources and one of the most popular. There are 5 different floats mapped out with primitive campsites available on private land. The watershed is secluded and heavily forested, and offers stunning scenery to outdoor adventurists. Rare Cahaba Lilies are present in many shallow water areas of the creek and, when in full bloom, are literally breathtaking. Access is seasonal due to the water levels (https://waterdata.usgs.gov/al/nwis/uv) (alabamascenicrivertrail.com)
