Greenbrier Bar-B-Que

Bbq-trail Hall-of-fame

A family favorite for nearly 50 years, The Original Greenbrier Bar-B-Que owners Margaret Berzett and her son, Johnny, wanted a simple spot to serve up Southern favorites. The restaurant is known for its hickory-smoked, barbecue chicken and catfish, but the hushpuppies are what keep people coming back for more.

Famous Dishes

Catfish and hush puppies

At Madison’s Old Greenbrier Restaurant, you’ll be greeted with a smile and a basket of complimentary golden brown hush puppies. Famous for their spoon-dropped shape, these hush puppies have just a hint of onion flavor and are great when dipped in Greenbrier’s white barbecue sauce. Fillets from pond-raised, grain-fed catfish are also deep-fried to perfection, causing fried food lovers to give this meal two thumbs up.
