Where To Eat
Good People Brewing started out with humble beginnings and no intention of ever starting a business. A labor of love in which long brew days in the garage, bad equipment, curious dogs (we still blame them for a bad batch or two) and hanging out with friends became commonplace. Once it took root, this hobby turned into a passion (along with some really solid beers).
Before Alabama became the Union's 22nd state, St. Stephens served as the Territory of Alabama's capital city. The Bicentennial State Capital Series kicked off by paying homage to the pre-statehood territorial capital with St. Stephens Stout. The collaboration of many Alabama breweries led to the creation of the "big, hearty stout." From the state-sourced hops and wheat to the bottling and brewing at Birmingham's Good People Brewing Company, St. Stephens Stout is a true product of the state.
