Crowan Cottage
AnnistonBuilt in 1887 by Samuel Noble for his parents, this quaint cottage, not readily seen from the street, was named for the Noble home place in England. The exterior of the modified Swiss chalet structure is of cedar shingles with brick quoin corners accenting the native stonework. In 1920, it became the property of General Robert E. Noble who willed it to Auburn University.
