Cahaba Blueway

The Cahaba Blueway is a paddling trail on one of North American's most biologically important streams, which is being sustainably developed as an outstanding outdoor recreation and nature-based tourism destination. Designated Cahaba Blueway accesses are designed to be safe and environmental sustainable, and feature signs that provide important way-finding and safety information. The website (cahabablueway.org) provides all of the information needed to plan an enjoyable trip on the Cahaba River, including river access and river segment information, water level and water quality status information, tips for planning a safe trip, and links to local tourism information resources as well as outfitters and outdoor equipment retailers.
