Big Daddy's Grill

After 20 years spent working in other people's restaurants, Jason "Big Daddy" Newsom opened Big Daddy's Grill right on Fish River in Fairhope. Complete with a riverside patio, rocking chairs and frequent live music, Big Daddy's is known for its po'boys and the Big Daddy burger, made with Swiss and American cheeses, sautéed onions, bacon and a half-pound beef patty.

One of the 100 Dishes to Eat in Alabama

Big Daddy Burger

The signature dish at Big Daddy's Grill in Fairhope is appropriately named the "Big Daddy Burger." This whopping burger is served with crunchy lettuce, ripe tomato, onion slices and pickles. Bacon and cheese can also be added, amping up the flavor (and the indulgence level). Paired with fries, onion rings or slaw, this meal will definitely have you coming back to Big Daddy's for more.
