Big Canoe Creek Nature Preserve

Big Canoe Creek Nature Preserve is an Alabama Forever Wild property in Springville, with 422 acres that is perfect for hiking, paddling, horseback riding, bird watching and mountain biking.  The landscape has lush forests and incredible biodiversity, including Canoe Creek Clubshell mussels, trispot darters, mountain laurel, native azalea, and many species of native trees.  The preserve's northern border spans about 2/3 mile of Big Canoe Creek, providing abundant creekside scenery and wildlife habitat.
