Alabama Veterans Museum and Archives

The role of our museum is not only to entertain, but to educate. We want to convey the incredible sacrifices and intensity of a world at war. Those who tour our facility learn a valuable history lesson in that our freedom is not free; it was bought by the men and women of this country and others, many of whom paid the supreme sacrifice. The Alabama Veterans Museum & Archives staff and volunteers are committed to provide a safe environment for ourselves and our visitors. We require all occupants of our museum to wear a mask and practice social distancing according to the guidelines set by our state. We also promote frequent and thorough hand washing and maintain regular housekeeping practices, including routine cleaning and disinfecting of surfaces, equipment and other elements of the Museum. We encourage respiratory etiquette to include covering coughs and sneezes and for our visitors and staff to stay home if they are sick.
