Tuscaloosa Farmers Market

Make the Tuscaloosa Farmers Market part of your Saturday tradition at the Tuscaloosa River Market overlooking the Black Warrior River. Held weekly from 7 a.m. to noon, this award-winning market, recently voted the best farmers market in Alabama by America’s Farmers Market, features more than 60 local farmers and artisans offering seasonal produce, baked goods, specialty foods, and handmade items. Grab a cup of local coffee, meet the growers behind your food, and enjoy a relaxed morning browsing colorful booths before taking a stroll along the River Walk.
Every third Saturday, families can enjoy the free POP Kids’ Club. POP, or Power of Produce, includes a fun craft and a two-bite taste challenge featuring an in-season fruit or vegetable found at the market.
During the summer, the market also hosts Tuesday afternoon markets in June and July from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., complete with local food trucks, fresh produce, and artisan vendors for a perfect Tuscaloosa evening.
