Syrup Sopping Day at Loachapoka (October 31, 2026) will allow visitors to experience cane syrup being made, blacksmithing demonstrations, Creek Indian demonstrations, as well as many more pioneer crafts and activities. This event is free and open to the public and is a one-day event. In case of rain the event will be held the following day. This event draws thousands of visitors to Loachapoka (between Auburn and Notasulga) each year, and is located on Alabama Highway 14. The arts & crafts vendors, food vendors, and the Pioneer Park cookhouse will not disappoint you with their treats. Come and experience Pioneer Living and pick up early Christmas gifts or perhaps that special piece of pottery, painting, photograph, metal craft, or leather work that you want for your collection.
Although the fair officially begins at 8 AM, those planning to attend are advised to arrive early to be the first in line to purchase their breakfast treats before they sell out.
