Pioneer Days 2026

Pioneer Days are Friday, October 9 and Saturday, October 10 from 10:00am until 4:00pm. Artists and craftsmen in period clothing demonstrate traditional folk arts and crafts in and around the historic structures of the Pioneer Museum of Alabama.  Demonstrations include Dutch oven cooking on a woodburning stove in a cabin and at the chuckwagon, blacksmithing, spinning, weaving, woodworking, rope making, candle dipping, quill making, and more.  The storekeeper, school Marm, and circuit riding preacher will be in the Adams' General Store, the McNear one-room schoolhouse, and the log church respectively.  Live mountain dulcimer and traditional music, Native Americans, militia, Union soldiers, and more.  Admission is $12.00, children five and under and museum members are Free.  Happy Shack food truck will be on site providing lunch and treats that can be eaten in the museum's shaded picnic area.   For more information call 334-566-3597 or check  www.facebook.com/PioneerMuseumTroy; www.pioneer-museum.org
