Haunting at the Museums: Otherwordly Encounters

The Alabama Museum of Natural History and Gorgas House Museum invite you to the free “The Haunting at the Museum: Otherworldly Encounters” event on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. to explore the phenomena of specters, space, spirits, and science!

This event is open to the public and an all-ages friendly exploration of mystery, history, and science.

Admission to both museums is free between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Costumes and period appropriate clothing are welcome but not required.

Locations

The Alabama Museum of Natural History is in Smith Hall on The University of Alabama’s campus. The street address is 427 Sixth Avenue, Tuscaloosa, AL 35487.

The Gorgas House Museum is located at 810 Capstone Drive, Tuscaloosa, AL 35487.

Parking

Parking on The University of Alabama campus on Saturday is free! Parking spots are available on the east side of Smith Hall (entrance only via Hackberry Lane), next to the Math and Science Education Building and next to Lloyd Hall. Check out UA’s online map of campus for more parking options.
