Cabaret Performance


Willkommen to 1920s Berlin! Cliff, a young, American novelist, has come to find his muse. He is eagerly swept into the world of the Kit Kat Klub, where the incomparable emcee, played once more by Ray Taylor, proclaims that there are no troubles and life is a cabaret! Cliff's typewriter sits idle as he becomes entangled with the mysterious Sally Bowles. Little do they know that a dark, menacing power is on the rise in Berlin, but for now they remain blissfully ignorant. Afterall, in the Kit Kat Klub, life is beautiful, the girls are beautiful, and even the orchestra is beautiful!

Come join us for a morning of family-oriented fun. Sponsors / vendors will be on site at Government Plaza. A DJ will be on hand to play festive tunes after the race. There will be several photo opportunities throughout the race course and at government plaza. Proceeds go to the Tuscaloosa Pre-K Initiative.

In celebration of World Theatre Day on March 27th, Theatre Tuscaloosa is presenting A Festival of One Acts. Bringing together a myriad of directors and actors, four one acts will be performed ranging from quirky comedies to dramatic satire, showcasing the range and effects that theatre can encompass. Something Unspoken by Tennessee Williams, The Pleasure of Detachment by Perry Souchuk, Tone Clusters by Joyce Carol Oats, Spreading the News by Lady Gregory.

This was the summer the beloved music teacher, Miss Gertrude, passed away. As her friends and neighbors prepared for her funeral, her mysteries were unveiled. Nobody could have imagined how the death of one sweet little old lady would turn the entire town upside down! Would Second Samuel ever be normal again?
