On behalf of New Leaf Digital and the Greater Huntsville AIAA Section, we are proud to host Huntsville’s first-ever NASA Space Apps Challenge, a 32-hour “Earth Observation” themed hardware + software + design competition. The event will be held at Huntsville STEAM Works Studio 1039, a brand new 6,000 sq/ft hardware prototyping lab at Lowe Mill A&E. Up to 100 teams will compete to build hardware + software solutions to challenges posed by NASA. Members of the public are welcome to register for free and participate in the event, or they can visit during the event and spectate. New Leaf Digital will be offering $10,000 in cash prizes to participants in a judging ceremony at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 30, for the best innovations built during the event. Find out more: This is NASA’s 6th year hosting the competition (official website), for which 160+ cities across the globe participate on the same weekend every year. We are proud to add Huntsville to the roster this year. Anyone of any age or tech background can register— no tech skills required!
