Experience life during the Civil War as the Town interprets several events that occurred in Mooresville during wartime. Enjoy an 1860s evening with the following entertainment: - A story narrated by Jerry Barksdale, who will portray his great-great grandfather who lived in Limestone County before and during the Civil War. - A reenactment of General (later President) James Garfield’s time while encamped at Bibb’s Spring with the 42nd Regiment of the Ohio Volunteers as he wrote letters home to his wife. - An encampment of the 19th Alabama Infantry Regiment, C.S.A., Inc. portraying Federal troops. - Period music by The Olde Town Brass in the Brick Church. - Open Hearth cooking demonstration and a rare peek into an 1820’s outside kitchen. - A Southern Tea.
