Jackson House Spring Celebration
April 08, 2017 in Moulton , AL
10 a.m.-11 pm
This annual event helps to support one of Lawrence County’s only historic homes that is periodically open to the public. Come join us for brunch, dinner or both! We’ll have the coffee hot and plenty of your favorite breakfast fare, including crisp hickory smoked bacon and savory sausage, farm fresh eggs, Southern Sawmill and rich chocolate gravies served over hot buttermilk biscuits, and a wide assortment of homemade jams, jellies and preserves, all -time favorite flavorful breakfast casseroles. For dinner there’s fresh from the Gulf seafood, including fried oysters, tender breaded fish fillets, succulent shrimp and a Southern favorite, hush puppies with freshly prepared slaw and a host of homemade desserts, including the signature Jackson House chocolate coffee punch and gallons of ice-cold sweet tea. Y’All Come!!!! All proceeds benefit The Jackson House for continued revitalization and maintenance. The house boasts beautiful 1800s woodwork throughout, period furniture, wonderful bay windows, and the signature high ceilings that gave rooms such grandeur in that period. There will be live entertainment, bingo with great prizes, a silent auction, and of course, great food and fellowship! Come and spend the day in one of the grand old homes of Alabama!
