CHRISTENBERRY: In Alabama | Closing Ceremony & A Southern Conversation with Dr. Bill Eiland

July 09, 2017 in Mobile , AL

2 pm to 3 pm

CHRISTENBERRY: In Alabama–an exhibition honoring the artist William Christenberry’s exploration of his native state’s landscape, traditions, and people–is coming to a close. Join us for one last look at this artist’s legacy and a discussion with Dr. William U. Eiland, director of the Georgia Museum of Art. Eiland, a native of Sprott, Alabama, will jump-start, he hopes, a conversation on what it means to “live Southern” in the 21st century. He will illustrate his talk through images of the fine arts in the South. FREE FOR MEMBERS | REGULAR ADMISSION FOR NON-MEMBERS ABOUT DR. WILLIAM U.
