An Evening with Billy Field
February 28, 2017 in Tuscaloosa , AL
7:00PM - 9:00PM
Billy Field is one of the few human beings left on the planet who saw a rocket shoot across the sky (on November 30, 1954), crash through a lady’s roof, bounce off her radio and hit her on her buttocks, making her the only human being in the history of the world to ever be hit by a falling star. He was five years old. He grew up and went to Hollywood where he made films and wrote screenplays. He sold the story of the lady who got hit by the falling star to Twentieth Century Fox. He has been with the Honors College for over ten years and teaches screenwriting, film production (LightsCameraAlabama.com) and a history course called Reacting to the Past. He holds an MFA in Theater from UA. Billy is a founding member of the Tuscaloosa Civil RIghts Task Force.
