The Huntsville Vintage Base Ball Club presents a new home team for Huntsville to root for – The Redcaps! Each match will be a reenactment played by the rules of 1864, with our ballists in era-appropriate uniforms, using era-appropriate equipment. With the founding of The Huntsville Vintage Base Ball Club, Alabama will become the 21st state nationwide to host vintage base ball matches. These players are dedicated to providing a historic take on our national pastime. All matches will be open to the public free of charge in the East Field of Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment. Our Southern Belles will be present for photo ops and the distribution of goodies. So please, bring your children or paw babies and a seat or a quilt, and come enjoy a hardy man’s game of glove-free, wooden bat baseball! Huzzah!
