Good People Brewing, located next to Railroad Park in downtown Birmingham, has a taproom and offers tours of the brewery. Good People also operates a pub in the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport.
High Ridge Spirits is the maker of Stills Crossroads Alabama ’Shine and is the first legal distillery in Alabama since Prohibition. This 100-proof ’shine is distilled in a former horse barn, with tours offered by appointment.
Alabama is making one of the key ingredients for Jack Daniel’s Tennessee whiskey – the barrels, which experts say supply 100 percent of the color and 50 to 60 percent of the flavor. It is one of only two facilities in the world that makes barrels for Jack Daniel’s and the only one that makes barrels exclusively for the famous Lynchburg, Tenn., distillery.
This family-owned vineyard and winery specializes in muscadine and fruit wines. Morgan Creek hosts several special events, including tastings, winery tours, music, fireworks and their annual grape stomp. Morgan Creek is also a popular location for weddings.
This north Baldwin County vineyard opened more than 35 years ago and offers a number of wines, vinegars and an assortment of condiments. They also offer tastings and tours.

John Emerald Distillery features more Spirits including John’s Alabama Single Malt, Spurgeon’s Barrel Aged Rum, and Gene’s Spiced Rum. JED is wicked good.
All of the craft brews offered center around Lake Guntersville themes, which is the at the heart of the brewery itself.
Red Clay Brewing Company has its roots firmly entrenched in the South. It offers a wide variety of beer and soon to offer ciders to fill a 12 tap taproom. Red Clay Brewing also offers beer for distribution so you can pick it up at local restaurants or growler stores in Lee County Alabama.
